On the first day, I didn't sell a single thing. I felt so embarrassed that I didn't even come back for the second day—I just didn't see the point.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eBut while I was there, I met an artist whose booth was constantly full of customers. I walked up to her and asked,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cb\u003e\"How do you do it?\"\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eShe smiled and said,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cb\u003e\"Prints. They've kept me busy for the past three years.\"\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eAt the time, I had no idea what art prints were. But I thanked her for the advice and went home to learn everything I could about them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eTwo years later, I returned to that same art fair on Governors Island, this time in July 2025. I sold seven prints. I couldn't have been happier. I also received so many compliments and saw so many genuinely excited faces looking at my artwork. Looking back now, it feels like so much has happened since then—I’ve been to many fairs, and I've sold many prints and original paintings.
